When polishing glass edges, every index needs to be accurate, stable, and repeatable. Sankyo’s RollerDrive® cam mechanism is designed for this type of work, giving machine builders a rigid, zero-backlash motion system that stays in position even when polishing forces are applied.

The setup indexes the glass substrate from station to station. With right-angle input and output shafts, the unit takes up very little space, making it easy to fit into tight polishing work cells or compact machine frames.

Because there’s no internal play, you get smooth motion, consistent edge finishes, and dependable cycle-to-cycle repeatability.

Key Advantages

  • Zero backlash and no drift under load

  • Rigid output improves edge quality

  • Compact footprint with right-angle shafts

  • Reliable motion for polishing applications
