Benefits

Gearmotor mounting is offered on either side of the index or handler, in 90º increments. Some gearmotors have an offset from the reducer centerline to the motor centerline as shown below. Depending on the reducer type, up to 16 mounting positions are offered to avoid dial or mounting feet interference. Most drive packages normally fit within the indexer height. An output torque limiting clutch can provide spacing to avoid interference as shown below. Our standard units include 3-phase AC induction motors with dual 230 or 460 voltages. Brake motors and washdown types are available.

We recommend using variable frequency drive (VFD) controllers to utilize electronic DC injection braking & vary the speed to stop consistently. Most drives are CE/UL approved, reversible and brushless to provide many years of maintenance free service. Our sales group can help you select the best mounting for your application.

Specifications

Due to the vast amount of combinations regarding power, voltage, ratio types and dimensional sizes, we prefer not to list all the configurations. Please Contact Sankyo Sales for more information about your specific application. We can provide 2D or 3D solid model drawings, user manuals and electrical specifications to assist your control panel layout design.
